River Oaks Golf Course and Event Center is nestled in the Mississippi River Valley, and our outdoor wedding ceremony venue overlooks the landscape down to the river below. In addition to a picturesque ceremony site, we have an outdoor patio that leads to a large event center that is a great place to host your reception and design to your desire.
We have many options and packages that you can choose from at an affordable price. At River Oaks, you can have your ceremony, reception, and rehearsal dinner all at the same location– making your wedding planning a smooth and enjoyable endeavor.
Wedding Ceremonies at River Oaks Event Center
The wedding ceremony venue at River Oaks is an outdoor venue that overlooks the scenic Mississippi River Valley, giving you a beautiful view while you say your I-Do’s. If the weather is not permitting an outdoor ceremony, we have a back up indoor option to make sure that the wedding goes on.
At River Oaks, we provide up to 200 white garden chairs for your ceremony with a beautiful wooden pergola. Also, the adjoining outdoor patio and indoor sunroom is set up for your wedding procession depending on which package you choose when booking our venue.
When you walk down the aisle and to your happily-ever-after, we want to ensure that you have the best experience possible. Our staff handle the complete set up and tear down of the chairs for the ceremony, so you will not need to worry about any added stress before or after your ceremony.
Once your ceremony is over, if you choose a package that includes our reception hall, the transition from the ceremony site to the event center is a short walk to an outdoor patio and into the event center… making it a quick transition to an unforgettable evening.

Wedding Receptions at River Oaks Event Center
After your wedding, your guests can enjoy the views of the Mississippi River Valley while relaxing in our event space. At River Oaks, we have an event center that is 4500 square feet with an adjoining sunroom and patio you can use to host the reception of your dreams!
Reception packages at River Oaks come with a number of small details you can customize to host a beautiful reception. You will have access to the reception hall during the day, a bartender for your reception, many options for napkins and table linens, a sign that is customized to your event, and more!
River Oaks has a list of preferred vendors you can use to have a first pick of the best in the Twin Cities at a great price. We also have a team that takes a hands-on approach and will be there to assist you in any way, to make sure everything you envisioned comes to life.

Rehearsal Dinners at River Oaks Event Center
Before you say your I-Do’s, take time to enjoy and celebrate your upcoming nuptials! One of the great things about River Oaks is we offer a complimentary room rental for your rehearsal when you book a reception with us. Enjoy a sit-down dinner or cocktail reception to kick off the beginning of your happily-ever-after!
You can enjoy the views that we have to offer of the Mississippi River Valley, relax, and start out your wedding weekend with a wonderful experience. Our staff will work with you to make sure your rehearsal runs smoothly before your big day!

Wedding Packages and Special Offers at River Oaks
At River Oaks, we offer various wedding packages that you can choose from to provide the template for your wedding day. Our packages are customizable based on your needs, which can be discussed and planned out with our staff upon your viewing!
We offer four current packages:
1. Ceremony Only Package: This package includes a four hour time slot for the outdoor ceremony site or our event center, complete with an aisle for the wedding party to walk down. It also includes an adjoining patio and sunroom staged for wedding processional. The package is rounded off with complete setup and breakdown of chairs and cleaning services!
2. “Hole in One” Indoor Reception Only Package: This package is set up for a reception only that is set up in the 4500 square feet event center. It also includes use of our sunroom and outdoor patio for your guests to enjoy the views of the Mississippi River Valley!
3. “The Views” Ceremony & Indoor Reception Package: This package includes the use of the outdoor ceremony area, set up with a wooden pergola and white garden chairs for up to 200 guests. It also includes our 4500 square feet event center for your reception, with use of our sunroom and outdoor patio.
4. “The Oaks” Ceremony & Indoor Reception Package: This package comes with the use of our outdoor ceremony area with a wood pergola for up to 200 people with white garden chairs. It also includes a 4500 square feet event center rental plus a sunroom and use of the adjoining patio. You will also have a champagne toast for head table, fabric draping behind the head table, 3 flameless LED pillar candles on tiered glass holders with mirror (one set per table), with up lighting placed around the perimeter of the event center.
*It’s important to note that all reception packages include these details: access to the ballroom from 10 am to midnight the day of the event, a monument sign customized for the event, color RGBIC lights surrounding the ceiling, bartender for the reception, table linens and napkins in a variety of colors, customizable table layout, complete setup and breakdown of tables and chairs and cleaning services, optional use of mirror and basic votive centerpieces and table numbers, and audiovisual/podium/microphone for your use.*
