1. What is a golf league and how does it work?

A golf league is a group of golfers who compete with each other at a golf course… at its most simple version.

River Oaks Golf Course has a variety of house leagues held by our course to choose from, regardless of skill level or experience. Golf leagues allow you to compete with others in your league in a great environment and allows you to have at least once a week where you have golf scheduled in your calendar.

Golf leagues at River Oaks are great because you have an assigned tee time that is either set each week or within a specific period of time. This helps keep your outing organized and allows you to be prepared for your round. Each league has a set time of competition, so depending on your league you will be able to schedule it for your calendars!

In a league, you’ll be able to play in a competitive environment. At first, it can be intimidating but will only help you grow in your game. In a league you’ll be able to grow, play under moderate pressure, and even meet new people along the way.

At River Oaks, one of the reasons why people join our leagues is to meet new people and play with friends out on the course. Golf leagues are a great environment to meet new people while playing golf and to foster friendships you already have.
