At River Oaks Municipal Golf Course, our adult golf clinics and lessons are designed to help golfers of all skill levels—from beginners just getting started to intermediate players looking to improve consistency, confidence, and on-course performance. Led by our professional golf staff, each session blends hands-on instruction, practical drills, and real playing experience in a supportive and fun learning environment.

Classic Adult Clinics

Our Classic Adult Clinic is designed for beginner to intermediate golfers looking to build confidence and consistency on the course. Whether you're new to golf or working to refine your skills, each session provides hands-on instruction, practical drills, and real playing experience to help you improve your technique and enjoy the game even more!

Tuesdays | 6:00-7:15p.m.

Session (AT1): April 7th - 28th
Session (AT2): May 5th - 26th
Session (AT3): June 2nd - 23rd

Saturdays | 9:00-10:15a.m.

Clinic Details:

$180 per session ( 3 weeks of instruction + 1 on-course play)
10-12 golfers per session
Clinic Focus: Rotation of putting, chipping, woods, and iron play
Last day: On-course play, sleeve of balls, and 1 drink token - Details pertaining last day will be given one week prior to set date.

Women's Only Clinics

Our Women’s Only Golf Clinic is designed to provide a fun, social, and supportive environment where women can learn and improve their golf skills with confidence. Ideal for beginner through intermediate players, this clinic focuses on building essential fundamentals while creating a relaxed and encouraging space to practice. Participants will develop skills at their own pace and connect with other women who share an interest in golf.

Thursdays | 6:30-7:30p.m.

Clinic Details:

$140 per session ( 3 weeks of instruction + 1 on-course play night)

Short Game Specialty Clinics

Our Targeted Short Game Specialty Clinics are designed for all age groups; beginner - advanced junior and adult golfers looking to sharpen their skills in a focused, small-group environment. Each weekly session builds a different area of the game, giving golfers a complete short-game foundation.

Wednesdays | 5:30-6:30 p.m. (Aug. 3:45-4:45 p.m. - adjusted for sunset)

Session 1: April 8th - 29th
Session 2: May 6th - 27th
Session 3: June 3rd - 24th
Session 4: July 1st - 22nd
Session 5 (3:45-4:45): August 5th - 26th

Clinic Details:

Week 1 — Putting Fundamentals
Week 2 — Chipping & Pitching
Week 3 — Bunker Play
Week 4 — Wedge Distance Control

10-12 Golfers per session.
Sleeve of golf balls & 1 drink token after last session.
$150 for all 4 weeks.

On-Course Playing Lessons

Our on-course playing lessons take your golf instruction beyond the practice range and into real-world situations where true performance matters. Under the guidance of a professional instructor, golfers learn how to apply swing fundamentals, short-game techniques, and strategic decision-making during actual rounds. These lessons focus on reading the course, selecting the right clubs, and managing risk in real situations.
