As one of the few remaining weekend men’s clubs in the metro area, River Oaks provides golfers of all skill levels an opportunity to play golf in a fun, competitive and structured environment. Our men’s club meets every other Saturday morning of each month and we play a different game each event. Golfers skill levels range from 0 handicaps all the way to 30+. There is no limit to the number of members, so please invite anyone you think would enjoy the camaraderie and competition.
What is NEW for 2019? Besides the New Golf Cars and Shark Experience…
There will be a BBQ following play of the first event of the season, so please plan to stick around for an awesome buffet. Also, we will be introducing a Club Championship trophy that will be presented to both the white tee champion and the club champion. We are starting the tradition of a “Champion’s Dinner” the Friday prior to the first round of the club championship Saturday. The menu will be selected by the past season’s champion. Spouses and better halves are encouraged to attend as well. More to come on the time and menu of our first dinner as the date gets closer.
We will have the “King of The Hill” again in 2019! Points are awarded for how you finish in scheduled Men’s Club events and points are doubled in the Club Championship. The top (10) individuals with the most points go to the King of Hill Final, where these individuals play 18 holes and are then broken down to (5) by low net scores. Then a shoot begins for the final (5) for all the cash!
We will have some new events on the calendar this year… We will feature a season long white tee match play and we will do a season long four-ball match play! If there are enough participants, we will do both a Blue Tee match play and 4-Ball as well. White tees are with handicap, blue tees are no handicap. If you don’t have a partner, but want to participate in either 4-ball, we will pair you with another member. Cost is $10/player per event.
Annual dues for 2019 will be $95.00 if paid prior to March 15th, 2019 and $105.00 after that date. There will be a $6.00 entry fee charge for all events, $5 of that will go to that day’s event, $0.50 will go to the KOH yearend prize fund, and the other $0.50 will go to the hole in one fund. Optional skins games will be $5 each this season. Joe Jaworski will be holding putting contests on the practice green before each event for $1.
