Thanks to each one of you for your patronage of River Oaks Golf Course. I hope the winter has been kind to you and are looking forward to Spring Golf. The River Oaks Men’s Club is an open club, we hope that all members invite a friend to enjoy the fun competitive aspects of your men’s club.
2010 Men’s Club Spring Opener will take place on Saturday May 1st, 2010. Their will be food and beverages following play. Their will also be a quick meeting following play. It will be a 7:30am shotgun start.
Congratulations to our 2009 Champions: Terry ODonnell Club Champion, King of Hill Champion Pat McMorrow, Blue Tee Champion Jim Anderson, and White Tee Champion Pat McMorrow!
Again in 2010 we will have the River Oaks "King of the Hill". Points are awarded for how you finish in scheduled Men’s Club events. The points are accumulated over the golf season. Points are doubled in the Club Championship. The ten golfers with the most points will compete. The final ten will then be broken down to the "Fantastic Five", from there will be a five man shoot for all the cash! If you do not make the final ten, there is additional tournament for those that care to play. The King of the Hill Finale is October 9, 2010.
Also, in 2010 we will have our first ever Men’s Club Putting Championship. This event will run in conjunction with club championship. On Saturday all members will putt nine holes low gross to qualify for Sunday final (sweet sixteen and ties move on). On Sunday the "Sweet Sixteen" will have an 18 hole low gross putting tournament for the Championship. Betting and beverages will be available.
This is a Ryder Cup year and this year as years in the past River Oaks will host our own Ryder Cup Matches on September 25, 2010. Defending 2008 Champion is the European Squad but, remember in 2006 the USA squad won, so 2010 will be the rubber match. Also, expect a European Flavor to your matches!

Annual dues for 2010 will be $85.00 if paid prior to March 1, 2010, and $95.00 after that date. There will be a $6.00 entry fee charge for events. Optional skins are available for each event.
